Conformance target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive differences.

This conformance is self-assessed: we evaluate the site ourselves rather than through an independent third-party audit. We may commission an external review in the future.

Measures we take

• Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure and landmarks.
• Full keyboard operability with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link.
• Colour contrast that meets WCAG AA for body text and interactive elements, in both light and dark themes.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images, sourced from the CMS.
• Respect for the operating-system “reduce motion” preference, which suppresses non-essential animation.
• Responsive layouts that reflow down to small screens and support text zoom.
• Correct language attributes per page and on cross-language content, so screen readers pronounce text correctly.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Editorial content published through our content management system depends on authors providing descriptive text and structure, and we continue to review it. If you encounter a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us.
